Deep End Weekend (DEWE) is an annual freediving festival hosted by Depth Wish Freediving. This event was created to develop and support a safety-conscious community of water enthusiasts and freedivers, while offering attendees the chance to make lifelong connections and memories.

Launched in 2019 with a small group of local freedivers, DEWE has since grown into the largest annual freediving event in the U.S., attracting a diverse group of participants from around the world. Held in North Central Florida, also known as the heart of springs country, DEWE provides divers the opportunity to enjoy the fresh, clear waters of breathtaking springs. Each year, attendees gather to learn, hone their skills, and most importantly, have fun.

DEWE offers a variety of experiences tailored to all skill levels, from casual to professional freedivers, and even those new to freediving. Each day begins with optional workshops to prepare your body and mind, such as yoga, breathwork, or guided meditation.

Following these workshops, attendees can choose from several expert-led dive sessions catering to different skill levels. DEWE offers sessions for beginners to advanced freedivers, as well as fun dive sessions each day. Additional dive session options may include mock competitions, rescue skills practice, spearfishing basics, mermaid experiences, and underwater photography or modeling skill improvement. Each session is held at a different local spring, allowing divers to explore multiple dive sites throughout the event.

After the dive sessions, attendees return to DEWE's community campsite for a catered dinner. As the sun sets, evening workshops and presentations begin. Saturday night's schedule also features a live band and a raffle with exciting prizes valued from $20 to $2,000, displayed throughout the event.

On Sunday, attendees can browse a vendor market, participate in a gear swap, or join a guided river paddle, in addition to the morning workshops and dive sessions.

Deep End Weekend is more than just a festival—it's a celebration of the freediving community and the natural beauty of North Central Florida's springs, fostering a sense of unity and shared passion among all who attend.

This event is for divers ages 18 and up only.
